by admin on Sep.16, 2009, under Random Thoughts
Today I picked up my new gear for the season!!
I’m the new proud owner of the Olympus E-3 and the E-620 w/ PT-E06 Water Housing!
For lenses I’m starting off with:
8mm Fisheye 2.0
11-22mm 2.8-3.5
14-35mm 2.0
35-100mm 2.0
50-200mm 2.8-3.5
(Times lenses by 2 for 35mm sensor equivalent)
SO Excited right now!
Its about 10 C out and windy but I had to try the water housing out so I grabbed a semi-warm body thing (not too sure what it was called) and drove down to the Shale beach in Craigleith. It was freezing so I couldn’t stay in long but I played with the E-620 for a bit before I had to run for the heated car.

It took a few monutes to trust the case. SLR’s and water just seem wrong.

COLD!!!!!
If you have any photo ideas or needs that involve getting a little wet feel free to contact me
Cheers

Five&Dime’s official “Get Nautical” Schooner Sail
by admin on Sep.01, 2009, under Publications and Events
I’ve been waiting for the Five and Dime post for this to link but I’m not too sure where its at.. SO..
August 15th, 16th and 17th was the Five and Dime lifestyle trade show. The event kicked off with an amazing sail from Polson Pier to the far side of Center Island and back. Great music, people and drinks lead to one of the best vibes I have ever experienced at a party. The following two days were back to business as hundreds of reps and buyers cruised through hundreds of product lines.
The name Five and Dime comes from the convenience of the one-stop shop. “Stores and brands that continually progress each season. Change has to be constant and five and dime reflects that. We respect ingenuity and offer a different path than the mainstream. We are all here trying to carve our niche in a small market. We offer our space to the brands that reflect our lifestyle and ethos.” Keeping the convenience alive, Five and Dime is bringing the fashion industry together with like-minded culture based vendors in a two-day, one-night meet and greet.
Here are a selection of photos from the Five and Dime show at Polson Pier in Toronto.
