“Toronto, ON — Everyone who came out to the first night of the Snowboard Canada Snowboard Canada Film Festival presented by Monster Energy Party in association with Burton at the Sound Academy knows how awesome it was and if you didn’t make it, there’s still tonight. Here’s a sample of last night’s madness, which featured the Ontario premieres of Burton’s It’s Always Snowing Somewhere, Alterna’s Knockout: The…”

2008 Early season rail session. Scot Brown, Eric Brown, Matt Konings and Nate Kelly.
Collingwood, ON — Waking up to the first good snowfall of the season is the greatest feeling in the world. Last Sunday in Collingwood we were blessed with one to two feet of the white stuff and there was no way we were going to let it go to waste. My roommate Sam Marcotte and I called up Nate Kelly, Scot Brown, Eric Brown, and Matt Konings and hit the road for Duntroon. Check the photos and video for the recap.

The 11th edition of Wakestock kicked off in fine style with the Monster Energy Pro Athlete and Industry reception. Held on the rooftop pool deck at the Radisson Admiral Hotel overlooking Toronto harbour and the city skyline, the party welcomed riders to Wakestock. With a photo wall provided by SBC Wakeboard Magazine and Monster Energy, everyone took turns have their picture taken with the Monster Energy girls. Despite loads of free drinks being flowed by the crew from Monster Energy, no one ended up in the pool. Check the photo gallery below for some of the highlights.

One of the best trips I have gone on in years was this one where Myself, Adam Bialo (Kontact Filmproduction) and a group of riders/friends set off for the cold, cold, cold Quebec ice fields. We shot many famous locations and every day we were pulling off banger shots, both photo and video.

“Quebec — The thermometer reads –28 and its seven a.m., but when you’ve only got six months to live you can’t let anything set you off track. The road trip to Quebec City began when photographer Richard Roth left Barrie with Quiksilver riders Andrew Kirn and Trevor Jennings. The van seemed a little empty without Kevin Scriver who stayed home with a case of mono but everyone was stoked to pick up Andrew Skelhorn at the airport in Quebec to take his spot. A quick stop in Oshawa to meet up with director Adam Bialo…”

“It’s not every day that girls get to showcase their snowboard skills all in one place; so everyone was super pumped for the Rugged Riders Kinky Rail Jam held at Horseshoe Resort, Ontario last Saturday. Thanks to Nikita, Inverno Clinics, and EventSing, the crowd got to witness the most rugged all-girls jam Ontario has ever seen. The event organizer even lost her tooth during set-up –- it was just that rugged! With top riders in the advanced category competing for the chance to travel to Stoneham, QC for the Snowboard Jamboree…”
